Final-Goodbye

Shared by alanah leger.

You are leaving so this is the final goodbye.
I’ll try my best to hold back the tears I want to cry.
Your journey through life now begins.
Please don’t forget my love will never end.

Like a lion, you are king of my heart.
Like a painter, you are my art.
Like an open fire burning out the cold,
you are the one I want to hold.

Although you must leave,
it is my love you will always receive.
So when your nights are cold,
and you think no one is there,
give this poem a stare,
and you’ll find I will always care.

On those restless nights,
when all you do is toss and turn,
think about me as a candle,
I will light up your heart,
because it’s with you I choose to burn.

Deeper than the ocean,

desperation

When was the last time you didn’t do something because you were afraid of the reaction you would receive? How many times have you regretted something because it made you feel embarrassed, humiliated, or foolish? How bout this – when was the last time you did something, and even with a little doubt in your mind said to yourself “I don’t give a damn what anyone has to say about it, this is my decision”? I encourage you to mull over these questions. I don’t know if what I’m about to talk about is more prevalent during teenage hood or if it spreads just as widely over the adult population, but I am a hundred percent certain that regardless of its prevalence, it’s an issue. We, as a society based around social media, technology, and the latest gizmos, are complicating the simplicity I so desperately long for.

Heartbeat: Favorite Hello and Hardest Goodbye

The last few paragraphs. Beautifully told.

favourite hello and hardest goodbye

Sometimes you are happier and better off without the one that you thought you needed most and sometimes it’s just not meant to be no matter how hard you try to fight against your fate

I liked B for 2years plus. He was my bestfriend as well as the guy of my dream and he possess all the qualities that I’m looking for. I respected him a lot for having his own morals as well as being an uphold and upright man. When I got together with him, it’s like a dream come true bc he’s someone I never thought I will get a chance to be with. He got his own ideal type of girl which I’m afraid that I will never be so I tried all my means to be. Despite knowing what kind of guy he is, I still fall for him…

Why We Need To Appreciate Our Own Aloneness

Wow.

A great writer once said; the only way out is in. This is certainly true today as everyone takes his or her own individual path towards escapism. We are all trying very hard to escape our daily lives, or even worse, ourselves. We do this through staring down at our mobile phones every chance we get, by filling our minds with endless non-stimulations such as television and by spending countless hours in the companies of others. Nobody wants to be alone, and even worse; nobody wants to be alone with their abyss of thoughts and doubts. When you are amongst a group of people and most of them are busy doing something on their phone; you must know that these people aren’t exceptionally busy. But, it is just easier to engage with a device that does not require any human interaction. Truth is, most of us aren’t aware of…

His Past

a great read. :’)

I think it’s very unattractive when people talk badly of their previous relationships or anyone they were involved with. Clearly, they liked the person for some reason, and they probably had their good times and bad. Now, breakups are never easy and usually messy, but that is no reason to bad mouth anyone, especially to the girl you’re trying to impress.

I’ve had a few instances where guys would try to earn pity points by telling me sob stories of how horrible their exes were.

Take “B” for example. We became friends at a friend’s party, and he had a girlfriend when I first met him. We got along well when we hung out with our friends, but he never brought out his girlfriend. He started messaging me often randomly and would rant about how unhappy he was in his relationship. At first, I was genuinely concerned, so I gave…
